Squash - Lunga di Napoli
This impressive bottle-shaped squash from the Campania region (Italy) produces enormous fruits that can reach 60 to 90 cm in length. The fruit has
the typical butternut shape with a green-grey skin and orange stripes when ripe. The firm, deep-orange flesh is sweet with a nutmeg-like flavour - perfect for gnocchi, oven dishes, or soup. Sow under glass from mid-March or outdoors from mid-May. Harvest in dry weather and prune growing tips regularly for the best results.
