Daucus carota Dara is the red variety of the wild white ornamental carrot found everywhere in nature in the Netherlands. This biennial plant has umbel
flowers that resemble a bird’s nest and have varying shades from pale pink to eggplant. That is why this red ornamental carrot is also called “purple kisses”. Sow directly in open ground from August to October. They do not like to be transplanted.
