Cat grass - Barley
Cats like to eat grass because they have a natural need for folic acid, found in grass. Cat grass is also useful if your cat suffers from hairballs; eating the grass helps the cat vomit up the hairballs and prevents constipation. Sow directly into moist soil in the garden from April to September or year-round indoors. Put the cat grass in a warm and light place but not in direct sunlight. The grass should have grown enough for the cat to eat after about a week.
