Cress sprouts - Common or plain
Sprouting seeds can be easily grown with water. Particularly popular as both the germ shoot and the young leaves can be eaten. Cress contains mustard oil and taste delicious in a mixed salad, with smoked salmon and numerous other fish. The young plants are rich in vitamins A, B, C and minerals. The sprouts can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
