Biztro is a relatively new shallot variety in the early segment and originates from the Netherlands. Compared to other red shallot varieties, Biztro excels on all fronts. The variety produces very uniform, round shallots with a very strong and beautifully red/brown colored skin. Biztro is also known as the improved Red Sun. Furthermore, the variety can be grown on any soil type and is suitable for long-term storage.
Plant from March to April, planting distance 15 x 20 cm. Harvest in July-August. Allow to dry thoroughly before storage.
