In addition to their use as green manure, marigolds are often used for nonchemical control of nematodes and nitrogen production. If the soil is heavily infected with nematodes, many crops suffer serious damage, resulting in lower yield and quality of the harvested product. Seed time: April to late June. Sowing depth: 1-1,5cm; space between rows: 35cm. Keep the crop for at least three months. The crop will die after the first substantial night frost, after which it can be mowed and dug in.
